IT Support Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities
The Position for Senior IT Engineer responsible for IT and Network Support Administration, can be based out of
Toulouse or Vitrolles and will require to support other Locations: Toulouse, Vitrolles, Seville and Hamburg. This may
require travelling to these locations on an as-and-when basis subject to any Local restrictions or regulations.

Your responsibilities:
User Management, Co-ordination and Collaboration
Manage user interactions, user single point of contact for all operations and technology related challenges /
requirements,
Diagnose and resolve, manage escalated technical issues and provide updated status to users,
Manage communication with our customers we are connected to,
Redirect problems to correct stakeholders timely, to minimize the delay in resolution,
Completing and tracking internal asset movement within and outside building,
Follow up with respective technical team for pending issues/solutions,
Delivering successful Continual Service Improvement program driven through proactive service ideas,
Ensure efficiency in process and meet individual & team targets,
Coordination with Client, Project, Other Support Functions, CML-IT Procurement, TIM Domains & External IT
Vendors as and when required.
Technical tasks
Install, configure, and support of software manually or through Software deployment console,
Analyse and resolve hardware/software/applications related problems onsite or remote operational mode,
Ensure AV signature and Windows Patches Update and kept up to date on desktops and laptops,
Support and maintain building IT infrastructure like Desktops, Laptops, VC Rooms, HUB Rooms, Data Center
Room, Racks & Cabling,
Support Image, Print, Scan Services,
Be the single point of contact for all IT operations related End User Computing Environment service covering
upkeep and performance (distant support as well as local),
Provide support to Domain (network, security, servers, backup…) teams for troubleshooting and maintenance,
Ensure periodic maintenance activities & log reviews,
Conduct knowledge sharing, ticket handling and creation of Standard Operation Procedures, Site & Process
documents.
IT Security & Process
Ensure all accesses to systems are properly authorized,
Manage periodic Audits,
Work proactively on non-Compliant machines,
Ensure all compliance requirements are fulfilled in time and evidence are stored in share drive for future audit
purpose

As a 1st Line Engineer at Akita, you will:
· Be part of a dedicated team of engineers within a busy IT services company.
· Perform duties that include ticket support on Helpdesk and hardware maintenance. These include resolving tickets such as user setups, software installs, hardware fault finding, VPN troubleshooting, NTFS permissions changes, hosted service issues, email fault finding, mobile device support and user profile problems.
· Attend client sites as and when required to fulfil the requirements of prescheduled projects and reactive troubleshooting.

IT Support Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced 1st Level support engineer to join their team in Coventry.

The IT resource would be the 1st level support engineer who would help on desktop / Laptop / printer / local network / Security devices etc.

Minimum of 3-4 years in the above domain managing IT services and having sound knowledge and hands on experience.

Candidate would coordinate with the backend domain CoE / support team for any application or related IT support.

The brief JD of the candidate is as follows:

· Provide technical support/services to end users at customer premises.
· Conduct onsite / remote troubleshooting of computer problems.
· First level hardware support for end user systems.
· Troubleshooting desktop / laptop OS issues, domain services in coordination with backend team.
· Support for related engineering application software issues (Isolate system issues; diagnose software issues and report issues to respective domain experts).
· Installation / configuration of IT software including IT security tools.
· Troubleshooting basic network, e-mail client, IT security (antivirus, CMG, DLP, Cloud Proxy, etc.) related issues.
· Coordination with vendors / Telecom ISP for seeking support any concerns, breakdown till resolution.
· Remove virus from respective desktop / laptop with the antivirus software.
