Xstore Solution Architects are responsible for working with clients, Business Development, Delivery and Services teams to construct the overall design of Oracle Retail Stores solutions (including any legacy applications) that will provide the client with maximized business value and lower TCO. The Solution Architect will also ensure quality assurance to confirm the implementation adheres to the solution design.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Participate in the pre-sales process including presenting the software, discussing functionality, and delivery options with the client, assisting with cost estimates based on requirements
· Assisting with the initial solution design and implementation strategy
· Explain Oracle Retail functionality to clients regarding business processes and technical characteristics
· Work with the Project Manager to create the project plan and resourcing needs
· Know, understand and drive delivery of solution architecture based on the client’s business process requirements
· Ensure the client’s architectural vision is accomplished via the technical specifications and code design
· Lead complex discussions, evaluate options and advice regarding a final determination
· Assist with the technical design, specifications, code development, QA, system testing, and user acceptance testing
· Perform solution architecture audits to ensure the project plans is progressing as planned
· Provide “better practice” business insight to clients throughout the client engagement (from presales through go live)
Essential skills
· In-depth understanding of applications and the underlying architecture of Oracle Retail software (Xstore / ORPOS / RetailJ, ORCE, OROB, OROMS, EFTLink, SIM)
· Demonstrated retail business process knowledge
· End-to-end Oracle Retail Stores implementation experience
· Ability to lead a presentation and discuss highly complex business processes with an understanding of the underlying technical architecture
· Able to assess challenges, determine solutions and advise approach
· Ability to recommend effective and efficient solutions
· High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
· Maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary and personal information
· Proactively identify and resolve issues
· Independently manage workload and complete multiple tasks concurrently
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and delegate task accordingly
Education/Experience:
· Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science or related field, or 8+ years of relevant experience
· 5+ years of Oracle Retail related experience required industry
· 5+ years development and/or systems integration experience preferred
· Oracle Retail implementation experience, ideally for multiple implementations; previous consulting experience preferred
· Demonstrated experience overseeing and advocating quality management systems, methodologies and collateral preferred

Role overview
The Development Consultant (XStore) is responsible for providing software technical product knowledge and retail industry knowledge in order to facilitate the successful enhancement of our Stores projects. The successful candidate will have experience XStore/Micros/Stores functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Review and conduct information systems needs assessment and recommend appropriate infrastructure solution
· Design and implement applications and enhancements using JAVA code
· Maintain and enhance applications per client request
· Assist with defining and implementing regression test suites
· Frequently analyze and define client data conversion, interface, and application enhancement requirements
· Translate business requirements into technical solutions
· Establish and monitor systems support and development in a Micros environment
· Perform application enhancements and modifications, while mentoring and teaching other consultants
· Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues as needed
· Participate in supporting production environment as necessary
· Regularly assist in the definition of implementation and integration alternatives
· Intermittently perform go-live assessments to determine the readiness of the system as well as client and support teams

Role overview
The QA is responsible for participating in functional and process facets of Micros Retail software implementations by applying retail industry knowledge, specialised payment expertise and Micros Retail software functionality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist in the definition of project objectives, scope, processes, organization, timelines, and overall approach
· Consider and define implementation and integration alternatives
· Act as a contact for the system functionality advice and provide coaching to the client business process team users
· Define system configuration requirements, identify gaps and recommend system modifications and process changes to optimally satisfy business users
· Document functional requirements for modifications and support design process for the client
· Escalate project issues that cannot be resolved within your sphere of influence/authority to the Project Manager as needed
· Provide support to multiple customer development and deployment projects by consulting on best practices for payment transaction, providing technical assistance, and custom solutions based on requirements
· Work with internal development teams to write customer-based functional requirements and support development of new products and technologies
· Design hardware and software testing and evaluations for payment and tablet devices
· Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders
· Undertake QA activities as required to ensure the success of the project
· Maintain a detailed knowledge of the functional capabilities and integration points of the Micros solution, as well as an in-depth understanding payments and associated processes
· Assist with driving test plan definition, creation and execution, as well as go-live assessments as needed
