We are currently looking for 3 Business Analysts to join our customers’ team.

Location: London

Job Type: 12 Month Contract or Permanent

Salary Rate: GBP550 p/d (INSIDE IR35) or up to GBP100K PA (Max)

Start Date: 9th August or ASAP

Must have’s:
Investment Banking experience.
Change Management/Business Transformation experience.
Min knowledge of a trade flow – not necessary to have deep product knowledge.
5+ years experience.
Able to demonstrate problem solving and analytical experience.
Awareness of system implementation process.

Nice to have’s:
Trade Service or Surveillance business knowledge

Responsibilities
Completion of tasks assigned by the Project Manager and Workstream Lead, to agreed timescales, scope and quality measures.
Management of stakeholders and project staff, including surveillance IT teams, vendors, users, project sponsors, managers of other projects and other departments within Bank.
Management of workstream activities: prioritizing work activities and issues arising, arranging workshops, tracking progress, promoting collaboration, and escalating issues which cannot be addressed by the workstream staff.
Manage all phases of project lifecycle: documentation of requirements and acceptance criteria, analysis, design, implementation, designing tests, managing test exercises, coordinating fixes, release management, go-live, user support.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal policies and control standards, and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour.
Using and adapting the Bank Disciplined Agile methodology.

Abstract: being able to understand a certain principle in a certain area of surveillance, market abuse and/or investment banking practice, and extend it to all equivalent areas.
Quantitative: taking a data-oriented approach to making and testing hypotheses, in a way which can be expanded in scope and evolved in sophistication
Detailed: perceiving important trends or exceptions amidst large quantities of information, having an uncompromising eye for quality, and able to set out formally the plans for and outcomes of analysis

Design & creation
Translating abstract priorities into designs for solutions which can be delivered iteratively
Creation of efficient and scalable processes in data gathering, data interpretation, testing, quality control and operational activity
Adapting designs according to new information, changing priorities, test results and cost/benefit analysis.

Communication & management
Clear and succinct in writing and in person; in order to influence stakeholders to make decisions and take action
Adaptable to manage staff in different locations and from different cultures, keeping the team engaged, motivated and effective
Structured, transparent, logical and self-organized in planning, prioritizing, coordinating and carrying out multiple tasks

Resilience & independence.
Ability to respond pro-actively and constructively to set-backs and challenges; and appetite to deliver solutions at a fast pace.
A willingness to constructively challenge accepted wisdom, or proposals which do not meet strategic objectives, from any stakeholder.

Essential Experience
5+ years data analysis, business analysis, process design and control implementation experience within the world’s top 10 investment banks.
Global implementation of technology solutions.
Involvement in a full project lifecycle: documentation of requirements, development and implementation, test management, release planning, go-live and user-support.
Experience of equity and/or fixed income products, including cash equity, equity futures and options, OTC derivatives and swaps in equity, bonds, ABS, MBS, interest rate swaps, bond futures, and other fixed income OTC derivatives, in an investment banking context, within a function or department that faces the front-office.

Ideal Experience
Experience in analyzing interest rate risk of bonds and interest rate derivatives
Experience in analyzing credit risk of bonds, Credit Default Swaps and other credit derivatives
Experience in an investment banking context, including one or more of:

1. Client-facing workflow, eg orders, RFQ, quote streaming, distribution platforms @ Sales-side trading and market execution, eg hedging of risk, order placement on market venues, interactions with brokers and counterparties, booking of trades, use of electronic algorithms for market execution.
2. Trade booking, reconciliation, reporting, Middle Office workflow and event management.
3. Post-trade derivative and cash position pricing, valuations, greeks calculation, delta risk calculation, traded risk management, VaR calculation.

Trade surveillance and market risk monitoring.
Financial crime detection and mitigation Regulatory controls implementation.
Capability management, or product ownership, involving technology solutions.
Vendor relationship management.

Full Time Duration: 3 Months
