Candidate Profile
· Experience of working in a Mobile Operator environment
· CCNA certified or equivalent level of knowledge
· Understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS); Quality of Service; MPLS
· Good working knowledge of BRAS / LNS / L2TP / DSL
· Experience with CISCO equipment and HP Gen 11 and Dell server systems
· Familiar working in a data centre environment
· Experience in optical fibre and WDM systems
· Linux/UNIX skills
· Able to analyse problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery
· Self-motivated, capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision
· Keen to contribute with ideas, develop own skills and technical knowledge, share knowledge and help others to develop
· Flexible and communicative
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure stable and reliable IT services
· Network performance monitoring and troubleshooting
· Fault analysis and Trouble ticket generation and response (escalations if necessary)
· Setup call bridges and do fault trouble shooting with technical team
· Deploy new SW releases (activity based on MOPs) during planned maintenance windows
· Provide comprehensive reporting against agreed SLAs
· Apply configuration changes via agreed change control process
· Installation of SW packets/patches
· Provide on call availability outside of business hours
· Provide IT support during maintenance windows
· Trigger 3rd party vendors in case of complex P1 / P2 issues (as L3 support, based on existing operational agreements)
