MIGRATION ARCHITECT

Job Purpose:
This Role is required for DC migration from ON PREM to Cloud and server consolidation/virtualization for HW reduction and site migrations via V2V and P2V.

Key Accountabilities:
Accountability Supporting Activities Data Center Migration and Multivendor Data Centre Technologies Solution Design, Architecture Capability to interact with Technology Architect/SME and lead the Solution Design, Architecting and Implementation to solve Business problems. Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements. Creating business architecture models to reflect the organization’s strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals. Ensuring the efficiency, security, and support of the organization’s goals. Determining and implementing build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and views of the overall business strategy. Suggesting ideas to reduce costs in IT and business leadership Provide design guidance / POC for nextgen technology adoption on HCI and Cloud solutions like Containerization, Automation/ Orchestration, Analytics (using both SaaS and PaaS options available), Hyper converged Infrastructure solutions Identify new solution areas based on market trend or customer requirements

7) Strong understanding of DC technologies and other Infra technologies.

Knowledge and Experience:
15 to 20 years of experience in IT services with at least 6-7 years of experience in
– Multivendor Datacenter Technologies Solution Design, Architecture
– Public Cloud Integration
– Datacenter Infrastructure Consulting
Must have broad background and deep experience with the following area:
DC Migration from on Prem to Cloud
Experience with server consolidation/virtualization for HW reduction and site migrations via V2V and P2V.
Developing HA and DR solution in DC Area
Strong presentation and articulate, demonstrate the value proposition to the customer
Very strong design and development experience in distributed, clustered and multi-threaded applications
Project management abilities
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
Working with and staying within a budget
Understanding business models
Apply systems thinking
IT strategic development skills
Understanding and performing operational tasks
Good knowledge in:
Implementing new cloud technologies like Amazon web services, public cloud or hybrid cloud and helping firms integrate them into their existing IT and network processes
Public Cloud Design and architecture AWS: VPC, EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Azure: Azure Site Recovery service/Azure, System Centre/ Networking-Security/Storage/Performance
DC and Enterprise Network and Cloud Networking concepts and tenancy design, Cloud Security, cloud native services like External DNS, Load balancing, multi VNet designs, high availability on Cloud
Practical experience developing and running a scaled service in a public cloud like Azure, AWS
New services offerings on Technologies evaluation – SDDC, VMware portfolio, Nutanix and Cisco
Others:
· Familiar with Managed Service offerings on Cloud and Solid operational and management experience with hybrid platforms
· Passionate about and can apply in the solutions: new age tooling, automation, DevOps Complete knowledge on Business to Infrastructure Services map, Strategic Thinking

Education:
· Degree in Engineering, or Computer Science field, or equivalent
· Good in English (Speaking and Writing)
