Essential Knowledge:
FTTx Architecture.
Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF writer, Visio, Q-QIS, GEOHUB.
Fibre Network Planning and surveying experience.
A minimum of 4 years good experience of working in a Fibre Network Planning Environment.
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of or experience working in a FTTH provider
Create detailed design of the proposed built environment and capture the most feasible and cost-effective solution for new build in accordance with the specifications
Identifying any potential SED or specific Traffic Management requirements. Also determine at planning stage any specific wayleave requirements.
Able to follow design schematics and management direction.
Attention to detail.
High levels of quality standards.
A telecoms background coupled with a planning background is required for this position – you may have worked for one of the major Germany Communications Provider which would be an advantage
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
Requirements and Responsibilities:
Planning & design of the FTTP networks from the OLT to the premise utilising PIA on QGIS or other planning tools.
Creation of High-Level FTTP designs utilising clients specifications using QGIS or other planning tools.
Creation of Low-level once the design has been validated via the survey team.
Produce Civils drawings QGIS, cable drawings QGIS, SLD (Visio), FAS(Excel), Release sheets (Excel), BOM/BOQ (Excel & QGIS), risk register (Excel), street works sheet (Excel), cabinet locations (Excel), Pole Survey Sheet (Excel), Chamber surface sheet (Excel), surface type sheet (Excel) from the completed design.
Existing manhole assessments (location, type, conditions) using Google Earth or other tools.
Existing pole assessments (location, type, conditions) using Google Earth or other tools.
