We are looking for a passionate and skilled Cloud Engineer specialized in Terraform to contribute to the design and construction of an Enterprise-scale Landing Zone on Azure. The objective here is to bring automated compliancy with our company Cyber Security policies while leveraging some key Enterprise bricks such as Active Directory, DNS, PKI, API Gateway and automation pipelines. Terraform will be used as the technology of choice to build that Landing Zone customizing an open source initiative of Microsoft called CAF Terraform Landing Zones.
Organized as a Kanban Product Team, the newcomer will join an international team in a very Agile environment. Frequent exchanges with Enterprise IT will be required to co-design and integrate some areas of the Azure Landing Azure as well as Cyber Security to ensure the compliancy side. Leveraging and improving a DevOps stack owned by another team will be a key aspect of the mission.
The Cloud Engineer will:
Define the strategy around Terraform states
Deliver many Terraform modules to build the Azure Landing Zone
Adapt Microsoft project to fit the needs of Schneider Electric
Make proposal on how to optimize the overall structure
Deliver integration tests based on Azure Resource Graph and Azure GO SDK
Contribute back to Microsoft open source project whenever there is an opportunity to do so
Tasks
Test plans to apply test driven development
Design documents and documentation as code
Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub Actions
Terraform modules committed in a GitHub repository
Qualifications/Skills Desired:
At least 3 years of experience in Cloud engineering
Be very knowledgeable about Azure Cloud Services with a significant experience
Expertise in putting in place Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
Good understanding of Enterprise Services such as Active Directory, connectivity infrastructure such as firewalls, DNS and PKI
Experience with orchestrators such as Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions
Experience with Test Driven Development is a plus
Agile/SCRUM experience, SAFe is a plus
