
The candidate will be learning and working in both the Goods Out and Goods In departments of the warehouse. In Goods In, they be receiving and signing off deliveries, booking stock into the warehouse and completing paperwork for the office. Deliveries can range from a couple of boxes in one day to 50 boxes and 12 pallets the next.
They will also be picking jobs for the production floor and completing the necessary paperwork.
In Goods Out they will book out completed jobs, create excel delivery notes detailing the delivery and email this to the customer. They will have regular contact with the customers on email and the telephone and deal with any questions, requests and enquiries they may have. They will need to book couriers on a daily basis (by email, telephone or an online booking system). They will also need to keep a running stock list on customer stock that is kept on site.
The employee will receive in house training in the warehouse and the basics on the production floor. They will also receiving FLT and manual handling training.
Additional benefits are company pension, regular overtime at a premium rate, car park (if they drive). Our holiday is currently 28 days but from January we will be giving an extra two days (their birthday and one extra day between Jan and March) for all staff once they have been with us for a full year.
We are also in the process of having a new, bespoke software built for the company so as of spring next year the whole stock system will be computerized so I need someone who is confident using computers.
